How Hoodu handles personal information.
Last updated: 10 August 2026
Who we are
Hoodu Ltd is the controller of personal information collected through this website and during related business conversations. Hoodu Ltd is registered in England and Wales under company number 15486852. Its registered office is 28 Park Avenue, Dover, England, CT16 1HD. Contact: hello@hoodu.ai.
Information we collect
When you contact Hoodu, we may collect your name, company, role, business email address, telephone number, company size, the process or service you are interested in, your message, referral page and campaign attribution information. If you choose to use HooVu, we store your evaluation answers and its responses, a randomly generated session identifier, the source page, limited browser information and a keyed hash of your IP address. We also receive limited technical information needed to operate and secure the website.
How we use it
- To respond to enquiries and arrange conversations.
- To provide and resume a HooVu process evaluation and produce its summary.
- To assess whether Hoodu can provide relevant services.
- To prepare proposals and take steps at your request before entering into a contract.
- To maintain appropriate business records and protect the website from misuse.
- To understand website use through Google Analytics, but only where analytics consent has been given.
Lawful bases
Hoodu normally relies on legitimate interests to respond to business enquiries, manage business relationships and secure the website. Where you ask Hoodu to prepare a proposal or take other pre-contract steps, processing may also be necessary in order to take those steps at your request. Analytics is based on consent.
Sharing and processors
Information may be processed by Hoodu's hosting, email, productivity and professional-service providers where necessary to operate the business. HooVu evaluation answers are sent to Hoodu's configured AI provider, currently OpenAI, to generate the next question and final evaluation. Provider-side response storage is disabled by the application, but the provider may retain limited service data under its applicable terms and abuse-monitoring controls. Google acts as a processor for analytics data when you consent to analytics. Hoodu does not sell personal information to advertisers.
International transfers
Hoodu aims to keep its own website and database data in the United Kingdom. Some service providers, including the AI provider, may process information outside the United Kingdom unless an approved regional service and contractual data-control arrangement is active. Where information is transferred internationally, Hoodu uses the provider's applicable contractual and organisational safeguards. Do not enter personal, confidential or security information into HooVu.
Retention
HooVu conversations are normally retained in Hoodu's database for no more than 30 days. Enquiry information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, follow up and maintain appropriate business records. Where no client relationship develops, it will normally be retained for no longer than 24 months. Contract, financial and project records may be retained for longer where required for legal, tax, insurance or professional purposes.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to the use of your personal information, and to receive certain information in a portable form. You may withdraw analytics consent at any time through .
Complaints
Contact Hoodu first so the issue can be investigated. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office.
